When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times (Shambhala Classics) by Pema Chodron: Heart-Wisdom from the Tibetan tradition by a famous Western Nun.

Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life by Thich Nhat Hanh, Arnold Kotler and H. H. the Dalai Lama (Mar 1, 1992)  Heart-Wisdom from a famous Vietnamese Zen monk

Dancing With Life: Buddhist insights for finding meaning and joy in the face of suffering by Phillip Moffittand Venerable Ajahn Sumedho An excellent but challenging book on the 4 Noble Truths, perhaps a follow up after Jack Kornfield’s book.

True Refuge by Tara Brach. This is a good blend between Western Buddhism and psychology. She tells many stories about how she and her clients have worked with daily and sometimes difficult problems.
