INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS MEDITATION CLASS

Dear Friend,

Registration is now open for our 8-week Winter/Spring Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation class. Class begins on Wednesday January 16th from 6:30 to 8 pm and will run through March 13th, with the exception of one week off during the week of February 4-8th.

What: Introduction to Meditation: The Basics of Mindfulness Meditation as taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach
Where: ShowMe Dharma, 1600 W. Broadway, Columbia Mo
When: Wednesdays 6:30 to 8 pm, January 16 through March 13th (1 week off Feb 4-8th)

Class size is limited to 35. Once registration fills you may be added to a waiting list.

This introduction to meditation class will cover the basics of mindfulness meditation. It will help you discover or deepen the power of awareness and presence in your everyday life.

The dharma talks in this class are presented via video projection and are taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, internationally renowned Theravadan vipassana teachers.

The four main topics that will be covered in this four-week introduction are the following:
* Establishing a Practice
* Awakening in the Body
* Mindfulness of Emotions
* Freedom from Thoughts

Classes will consist of meditation practice, dharma talks by Jack or Tara, class discussion of video talks, and sharing of class participants’ personal experience with meditation.
