SHOW ME DHARMA CARING COMMITTEE
The Show Me Dharma Caring Committee was organized to provide wise and kind support for and service to members of Show Me Dharma community, the Columbia community at large, and in response to suffering in the world. We are in the process of planning several exciting projects, and as we proceed, we are seeking your participation. Here are some of the projects we are working on developing, both currently and in the future. Please see our activities below:
1) Sponsor a meal: Starting in January, our sangha will sponsor a meal on the fourth Wednesday of each month to serve 80 to 100 at Loaves and Fishes, Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church, 207 Wilkes Boulevard, Columbia, MO.
OUR FIRST DATE WE WILL BE OFFERING THIS SERVICE IS WEDNESDAY JANUARY 24, 2018 AT 4:30-6:45 PM
At least 25 volunteers are needed to prepare various items for the meal, serve and assist with cleaning up afterwards. There are a variety of ways that you can be involved.

2) Donate for Puerto Rico:
Our sangha is also organizing to support our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico who continue to deal with the devastation following Hurricane Maria. You may sponsor
a solar lamp for $20 or a full solar panel for $121. If you so choose, you can get a Holiday Gift card (with photos of the relief effort in Puerto Rico) that says the following:
“Peace, joy and hope to you and to all the people of the world this Christmas and Holiday Season!
A solar lamp or panel has been given in your honor for relief and reconstruction efforts in Anasco, Mayajuez and Las Marías of Western Puerto Rico, regions particularly hard hit by Hurricane Maria.
Once we receive all the funds, we will purchase the lamps and panels and send them directly to a community organization in Puerto Rico.
