Date and Time: Sunday February 2 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Location: Show Me Dharma, 1600 West Broadway, Columbia
Cost: This retreat is offered on a dana (voluntary donation) basis
In this retreat we will explore a number of meditation practices that are part of the Theravada Buddhist tradition, including concentration practice, insight practice, and choiceless awareness. Our intention will be to provide practice instructions for each of these. We will also explore the ways in which each of these practices moves us in the direction of wisdom, freedom, kindness, and compassion.
This retreat will be held in noble silence. We will have alternating periods of sitting meditation and walking meditation. There will be brief talks by the teachers, as well as opportunities to ask questions. Please consider taking this opportunity to deepen your practice.
The retreat will be held on a Dana basis. We do ask you to bring a sack lunch, which will be eaten in Noble Silence.
REGISTRATION IS FULL.
The regular Sunday sit will happen during the retreat. Please be mindful of Noble Silence when you arrive, during the sit and when you leave. Thank you.
