The dharma talks in this class are presented via video projection and are taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, internationally renowned Theravadan vipassana teachers.
Classes will consist of meditation practice, dharma talks by Jack or Tara, class discussion of video talks, and sharing of class participants’ personal experience with meditation.
The main topics covered in this introduction class are the following:
* Establishing a Practice
* Awakening in the Body
* Mindfulness of Emotions
* Freedom from Thoughts
* Dealing with challenges in the practice
* Trauma and Healing
* Art of Lovingkindness
* Training in Forgiveness
* Mindful Relationships

The Sunday Service is designed to help us bring together three blessings of our spiritual practice–the blessing of body, the blessing of heart and mind in balance, and the blessing of sharing the results of our mindful actions for the benefit and welfare of all beings. We will begin our morning of practice together with a short period of mindful movement (for example, gentle stretching or walking meditation), followed by a 30-minute period of sitting practice with instruction designed to bring balance to heart and mind.  We will end the sitting with the sharing of metta (lovingkindness) followed by a short talk designed to bring our practices into the ordinary efforts of our work, our lives with our friends and families—the lives we live. Come start your week with us!
