The Four Mantras

Thich Nhat Hanh suggests these phrases to be said out-loud to open the heart and heal. Be a Bodhisattva and offer compassion and healing to yourself and others.

The Four Mantras

“Dear one, I am here for you.”

“Dear one, I know that you are here, alive and that makes me very happy.”

“Dear one, I know that you are suffering. That’s why I am here for you.”

“Dear one, I am suffering. I need your help. I need you to explain to me why you did this thing to me.”

Over the holidays with family and friends and others is an especially fruitful time to practice in this way.
