The Sacred and the Brain: Expressions of Selflessness

By Brick Johnstone, PhD

When: Tuesday, October 6th at 11am

Where: the Bixby Lecture Hall in the Brouder Science Center at Columbia College

This presentation explores how the brain processes information that is related to the self, and that reduction in activity in this part of the brain leads to increased selflessness. This selflessness can subsequently be experienced as spiritual transcendence for all faith traditions, believers, and non-believers.
